Sid Dickens, Vancouver, BC

Renowned “memory block” artist, Sid Dickens, retains Landmark Architecture to create a showroom to display his engaging works.

Client Challenge

Sid Dickens, a BC-based artist best known for his popular tri-dimensional wall art tiles known as Memory Blocks, retained Landmark Architecture to add a showroom to his existing warehouse space. Time was of the essence, as he needed to ensure that his showroom would be ready for his annual event.

Landmark Solution

Working within a compressed timeframe, Landmark designed the new improvement that included both window and door replacements. Project management services also required retaining a structural engineer to ensure that the showroom met current building code requirements, as well as ensuring that other tenant improvements met the City of Vancouver’s existing Building Bylaw requirements.

Landmark’s efficient response to our client’s needs allowed him to obtain permits quickly, and to open for his annual showroom event on time.
